The company Elon Musk would probably kill for.

The Founders of Cortica refuse to say whether rumors Elon Musk took time out of his holidays, to meet them, are true.

But to an old journo like me their, 'We cannot confirm or deny a meeting', is tantamount to a confirmation. And why wouldn't Musk want to meet the three founders of this relatively unknown company?

Igal Raichelgauz, Karina Odinaev and Yehoshua Zeevi have developed an algorithm that can:

  • Run on a low processing powered laptop.

  • Connect to any camera.

  • Interpret what the camera is seeing.

  • Teach itself what it is looking at.

  • Do all this without any help.

Unlike the vast majority of AI based deep learning systems, there is no need to feed Cortica tens of thousands of images of a dog, to teach it to recognize a dog.

The Cortica system has a self-learning mode that is based on how our brains work, in conjunction with the human eye.

In fact, the Israeli based company's three founders reverse engineered the human cortical nerve to find out how it talked to the brain.

It is truly an amazing achievement, and I sat down with two of the founders in their Tel Aviv office to learn more about their incredible algorithm.

Join me for a five minute drive with Cortica's Head of Automotive R&D, Adam Harel.
