That 30 minutes was courtesy of Creel Price, co-founder of investible, which is a venture capital firm concentrating on early stage companies.
PRICE WAS SPEAKING today AT THE EMERGENCE 2018 CONFERENCE IN SYDNEY.
Investible has developed a comprehensive methodology to source, screen, secure and support the best early-stage tech companies.
But even without these three 'billion dollar' businesses, their return is 38%.
Creel Price is one of Australia’s most prolific entrepreneurs. HIS BIO reads; "Described by Sir Richard Branson as ‘the living, breathing definition of an entrepreneur’. He co-founded Blueprint Management Group in 1996 with just $10,000 in capital and sold it a decade later for $109 million. Following this success, Creel has been championing entrepreneurship and social enterprise in Australia and around the globe for almost a decade."
WHILE INVESTIBLE is a SEED-STAGE investor, part of price's APPROACH can BE APPLIED TO LISTED COMPANIES, too. GRAB A COFFEE AND TAKE A LISTEN. IT IS WELL WORTH IT.
*A unicorn is a startup company valued at over $1 billion. The term was coined in 2013 by venture capitalist Aileen Lee, choosing the mythical animal to represent the statistical rarity of such successful ventures.
