Pointerra aims to be a $1.5b triple threat.

Pointerra, the 3D data Software as a Service (SaaS) business will control the world's largest 3D temporal library in the world by the end of 2018, according to joint Founder and Managing Director Ian Olson.

But Olson told InsideMarket.net Editor Phil Carey that this is just one of three key business areas he sees the company enjoying.

Pointerra has a current market cap of just $29m.

*Business globally spends $50B capturing 2D & 3D data for asset management.

*Pointerra's SaaS means massive 3D files, relatively useless due to size, can now be easily shared and viewed via Cloud, even on a phone.

*Pointerra will soon offer it's 3D data library to artificial intelligence sector for use in machine learning.

*As with media libraries like Getty images, Pointerra will also sell footage as a third arm to its business.

When InsideMarket.net caught up with Olson he started by explaining why their software has dramatically impacted the asset management sector, sitting in between the video capture companies (2D & 3D) and their end user clients.
