In five years, the “Smart City” market is estimated to be worth more than USD 2.57 trillion by 2025** and Australian technology company, ClearVue Technologies Limited (ASX:CPV), is banking on grabbing a share of it.
There is no doubt that the push is on for cleaner, smarter technology like Clearvue's "turn windows into electricity generating solar panels."
For example, in what will be one of the most aggressive climate change action plans to date, New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and legislative leaders have reached an agreement to pass Senate Bill S6599, which sets a net-zero emissions economy goal by 2050.
Executive Chairman of ClearVue, Victor Rosenberg, told InsideMarket.net recently that they are targeting that market and have:
Global engineering giant ARUP working with ClearVue to incorporate the sensors needed, to make ClearVue’s solar power generating window technology, appealing to Smart City designers.
That he is hoping to sign between 4 and 6 new licensing agreements.
Watch for USA regulatory clearance as the company’s next major milestone towards commercialization.
I caught up with Victor Rosenberg, just before he left for the United States, Las Vegas trip.
